Where do I send my blades?

How will I know you received my blades?
We will email you a confirmation upon your blades arriving.
How do I pay for my blades?
We will email you a link to pay once the blades are ready to ship.
Can chipped teeth be repaired?
Yes. Individual carbide teeth can typically be replaced, brazed, and precision ground back to factory specifications.
Do you sharpen blades from other manufacturers?
Yes. Forrest MFG sharpens most carbide-tipped circular saw blades, regardless of manufacturer.
How do I send my blade in for sharpening?
- Carefully package the blade.
- Include your contact information and our sharpening form.
- Ship it to us in Hudson MA.
- We'll inspect the blade and contact you if additional repairs are needed.

What makes Forrest saw blades different?
For over 75 years, Forrest MFG has built premium carbide-tipped circular saw blades. Every blade is precision tensioned, hand-finished, and manufactured to extremely tight tolerances for superior cut quality, long life, and multiple sharpenings.
How often should I sharpen my blade?
It depends on the material being cut and frequency of use. If you notice increased feed pressure, burning, rough cuts, or tear-out, it's time to have your blade sharpened.
Blade Selection
Which blade should I choose?
- Woodworker II – The ultimate all-purpose blade for ripping and crosscutting hardwoods, softwoods, and plywood.
- Chopmaster – Designed specifically for miter saws and radial arm saws, delivering exceptionally clean crosscuts.
- Duraline – Ideal for melamine, laminates, MDF, plywood, and other sheet goods.
- No-Melt – Designed for plastics, acrylics, Corian®, and other solid surface materials.
- Non-Ferrous – Perfect for aluminum, brass, copper, and other non-ferrous metals.
What is the difference between a full-kerf and thin-kerf blade?
- Full Kerf: Maximum rigidity and ideal for saws with 3 HP or greater.
- Thin Kerf: Requires less horsepower while producing nearly identical cut quality.
Compatibility
Will a Forrest blade work on my table saw?
Forrest blades are compatible with virtually all major table saw brands, including SawStop®, Powermatic®, Delta®, Laguna®, Harvey®, Felder®, Hammer®, and many others.
Can I use a Forrest blade on a miter saw?
Yes. While the Woodworker II performs well, the Chopmaster is specifically engineered for sliding and non-sliding miter saws.
Do Forrest blades work on battery-powered saws?
Yes. Thin-kerf models are especially well suited for cordless saws because they require less cutting power.
Performance
Why is my blade burning the wood?
Common causes include:
- Dull cutting edges
- Dirty blade buildup
- Fence or miter saw misalignment
- Feeding material too slowly
- Incorrect blade for the application
Why am I getting tear-out?
Tear-out is often caused by a dull blade, incorrect tooth geometry, poor workpiece support, or using the wrong blade for the material.
Why does my blade leave saw marks?
Saw marks can result from blade runout, improper alignment, resin buildup, or a blade that needs sharpening.
Shipping
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Forrest products are shipped throughout the United States and to many international destinations.
How long will my order take?
Most in-stock items ship within 1–2 business days. Custom products or out-of-stock items may require additional lead time. Repairs take about 2 weeks.
Warranty
Are Forrest blades covered by a warranty?
Yes. Forrest MFG stands behind the quality of its products. If you believe your blade has a manufacturing defect, please contact our customer service team for evaluation.
Care & Maintenance
How should I clean my blade?
Use a blade cleaner designed to remove pitch and resin buildup. Avoid harsh abrasives that may damage the carbide or blade plate.
Can I store blades together?
No. Always store blades individually or use blade protectors to prevent carbide tooth damage.
Can I use lubricant while cutting wood?
Generally, no. A clean, sharp blade is all that's required for cutting wood.
